The Process

01. Reach Out

When you are ready to connect, please send me an email.

 

If you prefer to speak by phone, begin by sending an initial email indicating your preference, and we can coordinate a convenient time for a call.

During this initial contact, we will:

  • Review any questions you may have

  • Schedule your first appointment

  • Provide the intake forms that will need to be completed prior to that appointment

02. Initial Individual Session

 During your initial session, I conduct an assessment.

 

In this assessment, I seek to understand what brings you to therapy, explore relevant history, identify what you would like to gain from the therapeutic process, and begin developing your individualized treatment plan.

 

Additionally, we discuss:

  • The limits of confidentiality

  • Any questions you may have about the intake forms

  • Outline the schedule for subsequent sessions

03. Subsequent Individual Sessions

The intention of each subsequent session we have together is to give you the opportunity to slow down, be seen, and embrace your healing journey.

 

This may take many different forms—meditation, talk therapy, eye movement exercises, psychoeducation, skill-building, parts work, writing prompts, and more.

 

As we conclude each session, you will have the opportunity to identify meaningful practices you would like to implement between sessions.

 

As we progress through the therapeutic process, I revisit the treatment plan often to ensure that we are aligned. I also use these treatment reviews to make adjustments and to hear your feedback on what is working and where we may need to pivot. 

 

My goal as your therapist is to remain attuned to you and your healing journey.
